CLEAR STEPS. VERIFIED CONTACTS.

Stop the harm. Find help.

If money is at risk, call your bank first. Do not wait for an email reply. There is no shame in asking for help.

End a suspicious call. Do not approve anything else. Do not transfer money to a supposed “safe account”. For immediate danger in Czechia call 158, or 112.

What happened?

I sent money

  1. Call your bank immediately. Say you suspect fraud. Ask whether the payment can be stopped or recovered.
  2. Keep the payment receipt, recipient account, amount and date. Recovery may not be possible.
  3. Report the fraud to the police. Keep messages and links as evidence.

I installed an unfamiliar app

  1. Disconnect the device from the internet. Turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data.

  3. Ask the police about evidence before erasing the device. Then arrange malware removal or a system restore.

I have an unwanted SMS subscription

  1. Save the messages and check your bill. Find the provider through your carrier or Platmobilem.cz.
  2. Cancel using that service’s instructions. STOP and STOP ALL are not universal commands for every payment.
  3. Then ask your carrier to block further payments. Dispute service content with the provider and billing errors with the carrier.

I joined an unfamiliar Wi-Fi network

  1. Disconnect. On iPhone: Settings → Wi-Fi → Edit → ⓘ beside the network → Forget This Network.
  2. Use a trusted connection. Do not enter more details on a suspicious page.
  3. If you already entered card or login details, follow the matching steps above.

Make the call yourself. Use a verified number.

Public contacts checked against banks’ own sources on 19 Oct 2026. We did not test-call the lines. Card blocking and account support may use different numbers.

Protection through your mobile carrier

Premium SMS are paid messages. Audiotex means premium-rate calls, including Czech 900, 906 and 909 numbers. Cancel the subscription, then block further payments. A payment block alone does not cancel a subscription.

You can ask: “Please block Premium SMS, mobile payments including Apple and Google billing, and premium-rate calls. Help me find recurring charges.”

O2
  1. On O2’s website, select your plan and open settings for SMS payments. Configure the service and block everything.
  2. Also block internet payments. This includes Apple, Google and Microsoft purchases.
  3. For payment by calling, keep the service active and select the option to block everything. Making the service inactive alone does not block premium calls.
  4. Cancel subscriptions with the provider. O2 commonly specifies STOP ALL to the first five digits of the service number. Help: 800 02 02 02.
